IF Pro Subscription Options

Personally I’ve been wanting to move away from month to month to an annual subscription for a while now so as to take advantage of the saving, but I couldn’t figure out how to initiate the yearly payment once the month to month sub was already running. Guess I’ve no option now, which is a pity :-(

Same for me as well.

I agree with you all. I just really hope it’s back soon.

Yup. 😂

I ve always had yearly subs but due to financial reasons in the last couple of months i had to buy monthly subs. Next month i wanted to go back to a yearly sub, but now not only i cant but i also have to pay 40 $ more than what i used to. Honestly i dont even know what to say anymore

My point exactly. There is no harm in getting the 6 month or annual sub back in my opinion.

Not worth removing both options just for the sake of “simplicity”.

Yearly expenses for flight simulators (PRO included)

MSFS: £45
X-Plane 11: £45
X-Plane Mobile: £49
Aerofly: £8 + Optional Regions
Infinite Flight:

£113

Like come on. At least give us the £70 subscription back so it’s more reasonable. 😂

About the comparison, yes, there are variables between simulators, but sometimes it’s good to look at things from another perspective. It’s nearly triple the price of MSFS.

I wouldn’t say that’s a fair comparison (especially to different platforms). As an example, the desktop ecosystem is different, with lots of additional content purchases that may be required for you to get the best experience, aside from the base sim.

Infinite Flight Pro is designed to include everything in one package: worldwide scenery, an ever-growing list of highly detailed aircraft and hand-crafted 3D airports, global multiplayer with ATC, etc.

Thank you for the feedback though. As I said above, we’re always listening and iterating, and I hope you’ll stick around for the journey :)

I think it’s definitely a fair comparison. IF doesn’t even have interactive cockpits, which Aerofly and X-Plane both do. X-Plane Mobile has global, Aerofly has some pretty large regions. Not to mention the graphics of Aerofly are much better, all cockpits are interactive, and it has every airport in 3D (for 14 times cheaper).

Respectfully, removing those options doesn’t make sense to me. I always get the one year because it’s a better deal and I don’t have a constant flow of incoming money (I’m sure most users here are in the same boat)

What exactly was the purpose of removing them? Saying that “most users” purchase a specific version of the subscription doesn’t mean the rest of us yearly subscribers aren’t valid.

Now we are paying $40 extra per year if we wish to renew every time.

As a long time customer who has spent over $200 on this sim, I don’t want to be a Karen, but I hope our voices are heard (as long as they are respectful and constructive 👍)

Lastly, what is meant by “simplifying the subscription flow?” The way I understand it, I don’t see a purpose (what is a “subscription flow”?)

Yea, maybe it was not such a good removal. But keep in mind that you are not involved in this case. You can continue your yearly subscription freely.

That’s the problem, my sub is tied to my parents’ debit cards (I’m sure many of us are in the same situation) and I have to pay for my own sub (which makes sense). I literally cannot just “continue on” and not be affected.

So when mine ends in December, I can never buy the year again?

You can continue your subscription as long as you don’t cancel it. Correct me if i’m wrong

Interactive cockpits are not an area of focus for us right now, we don’t believe it’s the best way to interact with aircraft on small screens. Other sims are doing some great things; we believe our pricing is fair for a product that is consistently updated every few months with no additional up-front purchase cost :)

Thanks for the feedback. As long as you have auto-renewal on your account, you won’t need to change to a different subscription plan. You’ll still continue to be able to use the 1-yearly plan indefinitely.

I used to buy yearly sub but now i buy monthly sub as it costs less in a month than 70 bucks but in meanwhile it could give IF Team the 100% price of what previous discount 1 year sub would offer them if Apple didn’t take taxes from every purchase.

It’s a little help to IF Team ^^

I definitely prefer the discount on the year plan, and thankfully have that ongoing. Won’t jump into the debate currently, but I see both sides.

Just as a side note for the devs’ attention, it appears the listing in the US app store still shows all three options, so that probably needs to be addressed to avoid misunderstandings by new subscribers

I totally get your point. There probably is a hundred technical reasons why we shouldn’t compare, but from a customer point of view, we can’t see the difference.

And as the pricing has a massive difference between apps, it does make us wonder why.

I didn’t really question it before the update, yes, it was a little expensive, but £70 a year was affordable, and you know, £50 for other sims compared to £70, doesn’t seem like much of a difference.

Again, there are probably loads of reasons why IF is more expensive than others, but the deals for annual subscriptions really helped balance the price difference.

I think another reason why many users are confused right now is also because there is no good reason we were told that caused the change. Yes, Simplicity, but I don’t think a few Subscription options would have caused that many problems anyway.

I was just about to buy a yearly subscription when my month ended but now I probably won’t pay for a full year due to this

I really like how IF updates their game without charging us to buy a new version of it. It’s something most sims don’t have and it’s great.

Every sim has a different type of approach when they make the sim. Some may thing yours is the best way and be willing to pay more for it, whilst other might not.

It’s the big price difference between your approach to others that is confusing.

I think I will be either not getting PRO at all or maybe 1-2 times in the holidays. Otherwise, I would have bought the annual sub and use PRO all the time.
