Hey there, recently i switched to a s8 and everything went fine until i installed IF… It started freezing my device, it crashed everytime i tried flying, and rebooting my phone automatically and my device manager reports that IF is the cause of lag so i tried uninstalling it and it was 10x smoother without IF… i even have to use medium and even medium graphics makes my IF crash… long haul flights are now impossible for me
Try:
Keep as much unused internal device memory available. 1GB is the recommended amount.
Always close other apps before opening Infinite Flight.
Keep your device fresh by completely restarting device power occasionally.
Disable active add or message blocking apps.
Don’t install unapproved apps.
Don’t modify, “Root”, or “Jailbreak” your device.
Use a strong WiFi network within a relatively close proximity to your device.
Unplug your modem and WiFi router for about 30 seconds, then plug them back in if online “lag” occurs.
Disable Anti-Aliasing
Lower “Show aircraft count live” setting.
Lower Aircraft or Water graphics setting.
Still crashes but doesnt lag
This doesnt make any sense… my Samsung J5 worked perfectly
Well still a new phone can be the difference
Impossible… i forgot to mention that it wont let me download any aircraft even though i have like 46gb of storage
I tell you, IF isnt supported by the s8 and there could be big issues with your storage
Try deleting any apps you don’t use, that might help.
Stop spreading false information.
I only have like a few apps like snapchat and instagram
This is what i find weird, if i’m understanding you correctly:
Your device is acting up, just if you have IF installed? Whether you are running it or not makes no difference?
I’d suggest reinstalling the app. If you’ve already done so, I suggest factory resetting your device. It may be another setting or another app thats creating the issue.
After using IF for quite a while it started to freeze a bit so i uninstalled it. My phone runs better after deleting IF
I should consider backup and reset
Okay.
I’m thinking the same as @Damian - this is most likely a local device issue, as we would have most certainly heard more of this if it was a widespread issue for the S8.
Are you using the newest version of Android? This maybe one of the causes ,I GUESS
I dont think the s8 has received oreo update yet
sorry for giving the wrong idea then , wish your phone is getting well soon !
I use an S8 and it works perfectly although there are occasional game crashes. Try out what the people said above.
I have got the S8 and it runs perfectly on the highest settings. Are u starting the app with the Game Launcher which comes with the Samsung Galaxy S8? If yes, did you set it to high-performance? Have you already tried setting your resolution to 1080p?
