It all started on November 23rd, 2020. I joined @butter_boi’s event for @SWA1997’s Gotcha Day Celebration. This was my first event I joined on the IFC. Later on, I got an invite from @Delta to join a group flight with him, and a few other people, from Dallas to Atlanta. November 23rd, the day my life changed forever. He invited me to fly in more groupflights with other members such as @plane_guy12, @Aviation108, and @Mr_Young. This grew into weekly flights with Will and other people. Soon after, we started to casually chat just him and I, and over the past year and a half, we’ve got to know each other very well. So well in fact, that in June, I bought plane tickets down to Dallas to go visit him. Just thinking back on it, how one decision I made in 2020 to join that one groupflight, has altered the course of my life for the better.
~Thank you
Now who wants to see some pictures!!!
Starting us off here, is this Delta A220-300 gliding in from Salt Lake City, Utah. Another place I hope to spot at in the next year! This picture came after the most stressful travel days of my life, sitting on the ground in Grand Rapids for 3 hours, sprinting thru Midway to catch my flight to Dallas, being bumped from my flight, having to sprint again thru Midway for a flight to DCA, having my phone die…twice, and eventually making it into Dallas a whole 5 hours late. I made it tho!!!
Next up here we have an American A319 with sharklets, coming in hot (very hot, it was 105°) from Eagle/Vail, Colourado
I know I said this is a D/FW topic, but I did want to include this shot from Love Field, after more than a year of this aircraft not visiting GRR, and missing it everywhere else I went, I have finally caught Freedom One in all her glory landing at DAL from Disney
Now for airlines I haven’t caught before, Qatar being one of them. This gorgeous Airbus 777-300ER glides into 17C from Doha, Qatar.
Another airline I haven’t caught before is Turkish. This Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner comes into Dallas on the evening rotation from Istanbul
A final airline I’ve never caught before is Qantas. This 787-9 comin’ in from down undah, aka Sydney
A special that was pretty high on my priority list was Flagship Valor, and I was incredibly fortunate enough to catch it down in Dallas! This one is coming in from nEWWWWWWWark, New Jersey, or @Z-Tube land
Probably my favorite shot of a school bus in my camera roll (this even beats out the pic of my school bus’ grill getting hammered by a deer). This amazing JetBlue A320Neo comes in from New Orleans, Louisiana
Finally, the moment you’ve all been waiting for!!! Speedy Super/Mega Chunk/31F Super/The Big One/the 380 slams it into Dallas after a long hop across the pond
