IATA to ICAO Airport Code Conversion

https://community.infiniteflight.com/t/iata-vs-icao-airport-codes/22267

After reading this thread ^, I thought it might be useful to make a table giving the “conversions” between the codes of major commercial airports to help those.

I have compiled my initial list using my knowledge and some of the internet of the “conversions” and will continue to do so as I learn more. Please feel free to add on your own airports to expand the list outwards.

Notes:

  1. Please do not put any USA and Canadian conversions in. Those are very simple and follow this pattern:

ICAO: KJFK, IATA: JFK
ICAO: CYYZ, IATA: YYZ

This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.

It is probably just made out of the name of the airports, Charles de Gaulle & not form the ICAO code.

@benny1263 all French airports start with ‘LF’. Then it’s ‘PG’, so it makes perfect sense.

Everything you ever wanted is on the wiki: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Civil_Aviation_Organization_airport_code

If you want a list of IF specific airport, IF specific aircraft, IF specific Liveries you will find in

www.kiltmchaggis.com

This is a complete list of all aircraft, all airports by region by ICAO and all associated liveries.

Why I even included the ability to search a Livery and see all of the airports used in IF.

A ONE STOP SHOP

And it’s free…

If you find the site useful and have some suggested improvements please feel free to PM me.

The code doesn’t necessarily come from its predecessor. Charles de Gaulle obviously gives you CDG. The ICAO prefix for French airports is LF. The ‘PG’ is probably something like 'Paris… Gaulle.
