I was punished for forgetting that I was descending 😭

I was flying IST~HND on the EX server, and the plane got off along VNAV, but it was too late when I forgot about it.

Everyone has mistakes! You can make sure this doesn’t happen by monitoring the flight and pressing VNAV at/near the top of descent

Welcome to the community!

You must never enable VNAV when in cruise. To avoid the issue you’ve just experienced, it is preferable to engage VNAV when within 1 to 2 minutes from your TOD (Top Of Descent). This will mean that you will have full concentration on your descent, as you should.

Please be aware that descending when away from your device is a reason for a violation.

unfortunately theres nothing really you can do about that. if you’re ever away from your device, dont arm VNAV till you get back
