After three months of planning, I bring to you the UND Aviation Family Weekend Flyover!
Background Info
Three months ago, around the beginning of February, I reached out to see if a flyover would be at all possible. After receiving an affirmation, I began personally planning the event. I worked with the FAA, UND, KGFK ATC, and the USAF to solidify a plan and get approval. After being denied by a few squadrons due to conflicts, I received the good news that my request had been accepted by the 114th FW. They were willing to provide two F-16’s for the event. After further planning, on 04/25/25, at exactly noon, twin SDANG F-16’s roared overhead in formation and tore up the pattern.
