I have almost 30 minutes asking for Push back and the boy won't let me out

The atc in JFK @VIPR took the minutes asking him for Push back and he doesn’t give it to me, he responds to others and to me nothing, I sent him a lot of messages after minutes and he didn’t answer me, then he answers me with duplicate messages and sends him to read the manual, I will attach photos because I already went to the private with him to report this and he didn’t listen to me, I find it very unfair that someone plays with your time and so to speak controls you senselessly, I don’t have any plane nearby, there is no restriction, I have my flight plan done and ready and even so he doesn’t let me out, nor does he tell me to set up the required FPL or anything, he just doesn’t give me Push back because he doesn’t care

Sending duplicate messages is always annoying for Controllers as they already have many calls coming in. And, since there is an event going on, the Airport is very busy, so the controllers have to deal with a lot of Aircraft. Delays are expected with over 200 aircraft departing and arriving from JFK. But, you can always dm the controller directly.

Just like them too @if.rapid and @smartyHas, he had us here for more than 40 minutes without responding even a (stand by)

I was there around 40 minutes ago, and I believe the slow response time could also be attributed to the large amount of traffic in JFK. For some devices (including the controller I assume), it could cause lag or even connection issues.

tbh is not even that busy

tbh one of the reasons why I avoid such large-scale events

Yeah, not anymore.

was there a gate hold in progress? because if so, then that could be why such a delay.
also, we’re talking about JFK during this new event, so obviously there must’ve been lots of traffic.

also… bro why did you spam messages every minute?
according to your images, you were requesting almost every 20 seconds to a minute. which is basically spamming a frequency, which increases controller workload.
it just doesn’t help, and wouldn’t get you cleared any quicker.. :person_shrugging:

Between 12:55 and 13:02 you sent 9 duplicate requests???

That is 9 messages in 7 minutes and really: Not even considering that JFK is really busy this weekend due to the event and everyone can look that up, even ATIS Notams declares busy traffic and to expect delays, I wouldn’t think they would do that, but in me it would trigger something, to let someone wait a little longer, when he/ she is spamming the radio frequency that massively.

In real life- as a passenger- I had been sitting in my seat, the aircraft had to wait 60 minutes+ for pushback, because we didn’t get our slot and that happened several times to me and others too.

Using honesty, he was not so busy, I know atc that with true chaos they maintain order for everyone even having multiple frequencies of towers and ground, but the boy is so special that he didn’t even answer your call, he just ignored, I don’t know what was hard for him to send a (stand by)

Friend, I started to mark spam after 15 minutes of having asked, even I thought he wasn’t listening to me and restarted my router, I never get used to spamming, because he didn’t even answer, it made him feel invisible, the right thing for him to say was (hold position) oh (stand by) but he didn’t do either

Hey, since you believe you could handle the workload, the team has a gift for you:

The correct thing to do is address this with the controller. Giving your side of the story only is unproductive. Hear what the controller has to say.

If you can’t come to some understanding with the controller, then reach out to one of the IFATC Moderators.
