I have a question about the fuel

Why is the fuel consumption higher when using AP+ system than when not using it…

Using AP+ i got out of fule alot time …

AP+ fuel consumption issues date back to its release in 2025 (if I remember correctly). I’m sure it’ll get fixed in future releases. There’re users who report continuing a flight with more fuel than needed on a long route.

A workaround is to fly on a weekend and use the timelapse x5 speed, so you don’t have to sit like a salami on your bed. Get yourself a notebook and play some YT videos while you’re at it, to avoid boredom.

Unfortunately, the 5x speed only works on solo mode. As of right now, I would do some testing and figure out which airframes have issues. Some airframes burn less, some burn more. Then plan accordingly

Really? I thought it had also been enabled in multiplayer too, did I miss something?

Imagine watching someone take off from LAX and just zoom off into the distance at 1000 knots :joy:

No, it definitely hasn’t been. It wouldn’t work with ATC and other aircraft flying around you.

Separation would be a nightmare :joy:

Plus when you guys are using AP+, your groundspeed is frozen and you’re no longer afected wind real data winds
Wich I found so unfair to other players but sometimes you missing great things

Wait, how is it unfair to other players? If anything it’s unfair to those in AP+! #AP+deserveswinds :joy:

I often play like that when fooling around in solo mode and it’s more fun than you’d think

I would say its unfair to us, how often I’ve been overtaken by frozen AP+ groundspeed players like this ! :smiling_face_with_tear: :sob: we need justice
And by the end , they surprised they burnt more fuel than expected…

Here’s how it works:

We freeze the consumption rate at the time when you enter AP+.
So if you’re burning X amount of kg of fuel per hour at the time you hand over the flight to AP+, you will continue to burn X until you “get out” of AP+ and take over the flight again.

This is with a fully manual flight plan.

But, if you use a SimBrief import.. things are a bit different;
We use the fuel numbers that are calculated by SimBrief and basically force them during the time your flight is being handled by AP+. If SimBrief says you should have Y amount of fuel at waypoint X, you will have that. No more, no less.

Thats super helpful! That explains why the manual plans don’t burn the same way that the simbrief ones do.

That explains a lot. Thank you :folded_hands::+1:
