N1A at KPTK. Yes I have special access because of contacts I have with the airport. She flew in and staged at PTK for the 2025 Woodward Dream Cruise.
N1A is also known as Wingfoot One as it’s the Goodyear logo, and this is the main Blimp being that it’s housed closest to Goodyear Headquarters. Wingfoot One is housed at the Wingfoot Lake Airship Operations Base just adjacent to Wingfoot Lake and some other Goodyear Miscellaneous facilities.

The idea for me to post in RWA-Spotting today came from my current road trip (Michigan-Pennsylvania). We stopped off at the Airship Operations Base only to be informed she was not outside today and is down for maintenance for about another week until cleared for flight. We also stopped off at the Lockheed Martin Airdock at the Akron Canton Airport which is supporting LTA Research with the Pathfinder 1 Project. Both of these buildings are a whopping size that intimidates anyone nearby. Most people don’t realize that the Goodyear Blimps as with most blimps are actually Rigid Structures and are only taken apart for maintenance, otherwise they fly everywhere else with assistance from the Airship Operations Ground Crew (Mooring Trucks, Maintenance, etc).
