I can’t hear the ATIS

Hi, for some reason and I’m not sure if other users have the same problem, I very often tune into the ATIS (successfully btw) but the message is not broadcasted. I know sometimes it takes a while to load up but yesterday at Budapest lots of users were requesting taxi or pushback without information. Is this a known problem?

Is the D-ATIS (digital text version) showing in the airport WX info tab when this occurs?

Then nothing will broadcast as an ATIS hasn’t been published.

As controllers we have certain bugs/UI nuances to work through.

  • Micro connection interruptions that don’t knock us offline long enough to provide a signal we’ve briefly disconnected. Unfortunately this does take down the atis and until someone says something, the controller is unaware.

  • We have wait for the publish button to become available once all the information is input. This means sitting on that frequency for 1 minute for it to go “white”. If the airport is busy, it can take some time to get to that point. The more impatient the pilots making requests en mass, the longer that process takes.
