How two I now what speed to Use when app on autopilot to runway and when to set flaps to 5 degrees?

When i fly b737 or b777 i always does one mistake, by using flap 5 10 nm out airport ils approach- But when does I use 5 degrees flap and what speed to set during descend with app button engage on ils autopilot towards airport. ? i begin 30000 feet descend VS 1800 ils alt 3000 feet from 100 nm away from airport. I push descent 100 nm out. 30 000 to 21000 or 14000 feet.

Welcome to the community! I would advise using VNAV for descent so you don’t need to calculate TOD and descent rates. For flaps, these topics are helpful:

probably 170 knots IAS speed.

Also, as @Mukundan_Srivatsa said, I would use VNAV every time you decend
