‘I’m sorry,’ they say to ATC as they receive their 4th report warning
Pilots who taxi at 20 knots on the apron and slam it hard left/right when they reach their gate and taxi at 10 knots to till they reach the gate and slam the brakes hard once they reach the stop line. Or those who taxi at 30-35 knots constantly and slam on the brakes when they get behind someone doing actual speed limit.
Yeah the only approach i hear where they dont call final is the “Bridge Visual” other than that im fairly certain theyve always reported
Couldve changed since then tho. Its been a few months since ive last tuned in
As an IFATC, I can say this.
- Asking for pattern work at takeoff (they never do this
) - Not obeying sequence
- Acting too hastily
I want to say impatience in general
- Users pushing the throttle to the maximum just to start taxiing
- Users accelerating to 35kts on a parallel taxiway just to be the first in line
They fly at casual/training server at Heathrow while having the ES unlocked
Asking for traffic advisories when only one other person is on the airport.
Saying “clear of all runways” after crossing a runway.
Quitting the game after landing and not taxiing to a gate.
Parking at a gate that is clearly too small for their aircraft.
Not knowing that you can takeoff from a displaced threshold.
Using the entire arrival procedure that adds several minutes to the route at an airport with no traffic (I.e. Dubai).
Crossings the hold short line with their nose thinking it only applies when their landing gear cross the line.
Using no trim.
I am guilty on the last one there….
I do that a lot. I’m at Grade 4 also
When the person flying the airplane can’t taxi to the correct runway
I used to do that, because its 1 button and not 2 hence saves time lol
To be fair… this “Departure to [insert direction]” is really a VFR departure phraseology.
People who dont care about maintaining proper separation or not following odd thousand/east and even thousand/west altitudes and cause collisions.
Yeah it happens more than you’d think honestly, on the training server it’s ridiculous ![]()
Not really surprised though
Incorrectly using “Heavy,” “Super,” or “Flight of X” callsigns, “remaining in the pattern” when clearly not doing pattern work, strobes/landing lights on during taxi, just to name a few.
Only indication i need is people rotating at 190 and speeding up to 260 straight away
Inexperienced pilot = not experienced
Not Inexperienced pilot = experienced
Equation:
Experienced + Not Experienced = Not Inexperienced pilot + Inexperienced pilot
Factor:
(1 + Not)× Experienced = (Not + 1) × Inexperienced Pilot
Notice (1 + Not) = (Not + 1). Let’s cancel it out, or divide both sides in other words:
Experienced = Inexperienced Pilot or
Inexperienced pilot = Experienced
I don’t know what ya’ll are talking about. Are you calling yourselves out?
When a pilot requests taxi at a gate that clearly requires pushing back from… My response please check the user guide and let them retry then requesting frequency change to tower after already being told to change
I do this just to show people that i have patience and have no need to go direct to the ILS.
I also do it when im below fuel dump altitude and need to burn some off
Third reason is when the winds change at the last minute, it gives me time to change procedures to the updated runway(s)
Last reason is spacing. Because I KNOW theres gonna be some dude who will cut me off and do what they can to make sure they land in front of me. So it allows those people to get their power trip attitude out of the way so i can land safely and without any interruptions
