A detailed instruction on how to fly a “helicopter” in infinite flight!
1st: Go to solo mode and spawn in at your airport of choice with the aircraft “CUBCRAFTERS XCUB” and the livery of your choice!
2nd: spawn in and go to where you would like to takeoff from. Then, select autopilot and look at your heading!
3rd: Pause and click “weather” and put in your exact heading. (Make sure parking brake is enabled!)
You can then select the speed of your choice. (60 knots is recommended)
4th: Resume the game. (This is where is gets complicated!) Set flaps to the degree of your choice (16° recommend) 16° is the best for beginners because it just barely lifts you into the air where the next step comes in. (Make sure autopilot is disconnected)
5th: Once you are in the air, fine tune your throttle to keep you hovering. You are now a helicopter! You can now keep adding flaps and throttle until you get to the speed and Altitude you like. Once you do this, you can select autopilot to fly you to wherever you want! (Once autopilot is enabled and speed is high enough, you can bring up the flaps completely)
6th (landing): Now that you have arrived at the destination of your choice, it’s time to land! Disconnect autopilot and wait until you are slow. As you get closer to the landing spot add 16° of flaps (again, this is recommend and depends on the airspeed you selected at step 3.) Keep slowing down and descending until you are at or near a hover and above your landing spot. ☆(Now, for a soft but hard-to-do landing, slowly tilt your device forward and add power until you touch the ground, immediately put flaps up, enable parking brake and pause the game and take away the wind.)☆-NOT RECOMMEND FOR BEGINNERS-☆ However. For a easy landing, once you are at a hover over your landing spot, simply put up flaps and enable parking brakes (make sure you are not to high above the spot) This method usually results in a hard landing but it is much easier and effective. Now for pre-touchdown procedures refer back to the ☆ landing.
