How to Make and Edit Airplane Screenshots | Tutorial!

Welcome! Do you want to Make your Airplane Pictures more beautiful or enter a Screenshot Competition well you have come to the right place!

Today I’ll give y’all a detailed outlook to how I make my photos from this:

To this:

Step 1 - Taking the Photo

This part is pretty self explanatory. Go on Solo and do a landing, a takeoff or maybe a staying in cruise over a scenery. If you need help look at some example photos from Screenshot Competitions to get an Idea on what to do!

Step 2 - Selecting the Photo in Editor

This is where it gets fun :star_struck:.

Start by Downloading and Opening Photoshop Express / Adobe Lightroom from the Apple AppStore or The Google Playstore

You will see this Page after Selecting your Photo:

Step 3 - Initial Editing of the Photo

You will see many options here but don’t tweak everything

Exposure:- You Should Probably Increase this especially if you are doing night photos, Not Much around 5 - 20 %

Contrast:- Contrast is very important in a picture. Less Contrast can result in a more Fuzzy whitish washed out image, generally do around 40-70% depending on the appearance

After setting these I would go to the Temperature setting

Temperature:- it should be increased, depends on the photo but I would recommend up to the amount where the Sky looks orangish or the reflection of the sun from the plane looks golden!

Next I would go for the Vibrance setting

Set the Vibrance such that the sky looks good enough but not too broken. You may also set the saturation if you want the colors to pop more

Step 4 - Final Tuning the Settings

Let’s Continue by looks over our previous settings

Currently my picture looks like this but more can be done.

Highlights:- in my picture it shows a little too much light on the subjects and I want to give it a more darkened feel, it also helps in Seperating the background from the objects by creating an outline, Hence I will use this setting!

Vignette:- Next is a Setting that is pretty much the icing on the cake of editing! It’s called Vignette and for day photos I would recommend a white vignette and for night photos I would recommend a dark vignette.

Step 5 - Save and Export

You have completed your picture! Now save your pic and export it and use it however you want!
