This method always undershoots. That’s ok for intercepting the glideslope/localizer though.
Nothing wrong with undershooting since the whole point is to get to the intercept in time.

I fully agree^^ Just nitpicking your original post haha. I use the same technique but I put the margin in the other direction. I.e rounding 12.3 down instead of up.
But overall this technique is definitely the most practical for IF. A lot of people get tripped up with IAS/TAS/GS while using other methods.
