Hey there!

How do you calculate the Landing to Violation ratio to figure how many more landings are needed?

Simply divide the violations by the landings to get the violation/landing ratio :)

Take the 12 month violations and do some quick math to get required landings.

Grade 3 | Grade 4 | Grade 5 | |
---|---|---|---|

# Violations x | 2 | 4 | 20 |

Take that number and add one landing for good measure. Any additional violations received will require you to recalculate.

If you want to know how many landings are needed to reach the next grade, divide the number of violations you already have by the ratio threshold to find out how many landings that equals. Then get your landing number up to that, without getting any more violations.

If:

```
Violations / Landings = Target Percentage
```

Then:

```
Violations / Target Percentage = Landings
```

As an example, say you have 50 violations and need your percentage to be 0.5:

```
50 violations / 0.5 = 100 landings
```

If you get a result with a decimal point, you wil always need to round *up* to the nearest whole number for landings.

Substitute ratio for percentage if you want to be strictly correct, but 0.5 is 50 percent, and that’s how I think of it.
