How to brief your flight at infinite flight

BRIEFING STEPS

Pre-Flight
  1. Choose your origin and destination airport and take a flight
Flightsfrom.com/FlightRadar24/Flight Aware/Flighty App(IOS only) (Some websites to find real flights)

  2. Use an flight planner
    SimBrief/FPL to IF

  3. Copy your FPL to Infinite Flight and Insert Fuel and Payload

  4. Take the aircraft checklist
    Infinite Flight Aircraft CheckList

  5. Separate origin and destination procedure and aerodrome charts
(They can be found searching airport ICAO + charts at your preferred browser)
5.1 Brief your taxi: Predict your track to the Runway (exiting terminal in the first taxiway available)

  6. Take your rotation speeds
Option 1/Option 2/Some briefings made at FPL to IF come with V speeds
6.1 Brief your rotation speeds (Example: “Bellow 80kts Take Off only will be abort if both engines fail, bellow v1 Take Off only will be aborted if atc requests or the power will not be sufficiently, if the T/O is aborted I will set the spoilers to “armed” and give full power reverse above 70kts after that I will use manual brakes and exit runway, on the taxiway I will check if it’s necessary to back gate to refuel or make any adjustments if isn’t necessary we request taxi to RW and try another T/O)

  7. Check if you are at a controlled airport and check ATIS (IF REQUIRED)

Tune into UNICOM or Ground Frequency

Before Start
  1. Turn Beacon Lights to ON
  2. Take the “Before Start” session at your checklist
If the aircraft doesn’t need pushback go to “Start Procedure”
2.1 If passed request pushback or start the pushback (if you’re at an uncontrolled airport or the ground space is not controlled) always taking an eye at both sides to avoid collision.
Start procedure

IF THE TAXI WILL BE LONG OR THERE IS MUCH TRAFFIC BEFORE YOU TO TAKE OFF CONSIDER TAXING WITH HALF OF ENGINE NUMBER AND TURN OTHERS ON WHEN APPROACHING THE HOLD SHORT LINE OF THE RUNWAY

  1. Look and check the “STARTUP” at checklist

IF YOU ARE DOING HALF ENGINE BACK THIS TOPIC WHEN START THE OTHERS

Before Taxi
  1. Set Take off flaps and trim configuration
  2. Test Controls
2.1 Before testing controls you will calibrate your device position, after that you will turn your device all to the left, right, down and up and also check rudder
  3. Look and Check the “Taxi” session at checklist
3.1 If passed you can request taxi to atc or just announce you will taxi to the runway (If you are at an uncontrolled airport or one with uncontrolled ground space)
Taxi
  1. After cleared for taxi, lookup your briefing made at pre-flight step and follow it

  2. Atc can issue an progressive taxi to avoid conflicts or optimise traffic

  3. Remarks
3.1 Taxi maximum speed is 30 kts
3.2 90 degrees turns should be made at 10 kts
3.3 turns with less than 90 degrees should be made at 15 kts
3.4 N1 should never exceeds 40% although its strongly necessary

  4. When you reach the hold short line contact atc tower frequency if you are at an uncontrolled airport go to the next topic

Before Take Off
  1. Lookup and check “Before Take Off” session at checklist
1.1 If passed check V speeds and aborting take off briefing
  2. Request permission to take off or announce departure
After Take Off
  1. Take the habit to say “positive rate of climb gear up” if your aircraft persist in a climb rate

  2. Get the flaps up when possible

  3. Be attentive at atc instructions to change frequency if you are departing of an controlled airport
3.1 If you are at an uncontrolled airport only leave frequency when out of airspace

  4. Engaging the auto-pilot it’s from pilot discretion (recommended over 600ft above aerodrome level)

  5. Lookup and check the “After Take Off” session at checklist

  6. REMARKS
6.1 Do not exceed 250 kts when above 10000ft MSL

Cruise
  1. Lookup and check “cruise” session at checklist
  2. For long-haul flights is recommended to check the fuel consumption and see if it’s possible to change level to save fuel
2.1 Here you can see the tutorial how it works
Descent
  1. Check METAR and ATIS(If the airport is being controlled)
1.1 If necessary change procedures to the new runway in use
  2. Brief your descent plan
2.1 Take the airport procedure charts
2.2 Check if there are restrictions of altitude and speed
2.3 Brief your Go Around (The plan is included in the approach chart [IAC or VAC])
2.4 Brief your route to the alternative airport
  3. Lookup and check the “Descent” session at checklist
  4. What to do if operating in multi airspace controlled frequencies
4.1 If your aircraft it’s under center control, 5-2 minutes before start de descent, request your descent procedure (the contoller can deny and send you vectors to the airport or just aprove)
4.2 When descending you will probably be instructed to tune the approach, radar or director frequency. The first step it’s to inform the approach procedure that you want (visual, GPS or ILS or just approach the airport), after that you will recieve instructions to follow your flight plan or receive vectors (follow all then perfectly only deny any procedure if it puts the security of your aircraft into risk). A COMMON MISTAKE WHEN CLEARED TO ILS, when cleared to the an ILS approach contoller gives an altitude, you will mantaing this altitude until indicates on your localizer (lateral bar) that you are stabilized and you can press “APP”.
4.3 Only change to tower frequency when instructed by the controller
Landing
  1. Lookup and check “landing” session at checklist
  2. **When stabilised at your approach procedure request inbound or announce it(If you are at an uncontrolled airport)
2.1 If cleared and checked at checklist land the most security as possible
  3. Exit runway when able and if necessary contact ground after crossing the hold short line
After landing
  1. Lookup and check “after landing” session at checklist
  2. If you are at an control airport request taxi to parking
  3. Try to find suitable gates or spaces to your aircraft model
Parking and Shutting Down
  1. After stoping your aircraft, shut down all engines(check if your APU or master power is on)
  2. Lookup and check “Parking” session at your checklist
  3. If passed tune out of ground frequency to start a new flight or just quit the server

Nice job but we do have an extensive user guide available.
