Highlighted in Yellow is where you would upload pictures. Also since you are very new here, your trust level might not allow you to upload pictures.

it will just put the link in!
Simply drag the files to the input box and the files will be uploaded automatically. The reason they become links is that files are uploaded and stored in the server, people need links to access them
