How should I read this descent and climb profile?

is for a DHC8-402

That doesn’t look right 🤔

I think that’s the Dash 8’s RPM (how many times the propellor spins per minute) which is the real life measure of speed in that aircraft. Just climb at 210-230kts IAS.

for that very reason. is what fpltoif tells me: https://fpltoif.com/simbrief_plans?ofp_id=1589637126_FC4A29E573&n=no

Yes but VS?

Hmmm I usually see my climb profiles as

250/300/.78

A climb profile is in no way vertical speed-related. You will find that information online or under each waypoint of your flight plan. For your flight plan, it’s 1529 FPM, so just round that to 1500.

I don’t fly that aircraft often so I have no clue

I’d suggest 240 the whole way through to 20,000ft I think.

Thank you very much. I just switched to expert server and there are some things I don’t know.

Actually I may go 240/260. Monitor your entire climb though

This is too fast. Dash 8s cruise between 210-235kts.
