No, reverse thrusters have no bearing on lift generation other than contributing towards the reduction of airspeed.

Because backwards thrusting can maybe hurt the engines why not increase the braking power to balance it out.

The do spoil lift. They force air forwards(upwards, downwards, side to side. Because it is directed upwards, it doesn’t let air flow over the wing which means no lift. Don’t tell me I’m wrong.
