Pittsburgh International Airport’s in house news site put out a very interesting article yesterday, and I couldn’t help but think about it while a thunderstorm rolled through this afternoon, and I figured some of you might be interested too. They do a fantastic job of explaining it, so I wolnt go into too much detail here, but more or less on an open airfield with lots of metallic things certain precautions need to be taken, so here’s how they do it:
