how much fuel would i need lax to atl in b738?
I’d just go with a full tank.
How is that flaggable? You can literally just dump fuel should you catch a tailwind and get there with more fuel than you need.

FPLtoIF seems to suggest 13,470 kg of fuel, including 30 min in reserve

Make sure to check the winds on your route so you don’t pack too much/too little fuel
Short haul time +30min reserve +5min taxi.
Medium haul time +1:15hr reserve + 5min taxi.
Long haul time +2hrs reserve +5min taxi
Ultra long haul time +3:30hrs reserve +5min taxi
Remember, in larger planes, you can always fuel dump, but never add more fuel

You cannot dump fuel in the 737 unfortunately. That is only available for heavier aircraft.
