How Many Flights Have You Taken This Year?

Hi everyone,

As we’re approaching the end of the year, I thought it would be fun to see how many flights everyone has taken in 2024! I’ll go first: I’ve taken 44 flights this year mostly across APAC and Europe.

I track all my flights using the app Flighty, which is super handy for keeping everything organized. If anyone else uses Flighty and wants to connect, feel free to add me—I’d love to see your stats & flight too!

Looking forward to hearing your numbers and wishing you all happy holidays and safe flights!

Is this IRL or in Infinite Flight?

Because if IRL it probably should be in Real World Aviation.

IRL, but can’t find the category in the dropdown menu…

Yeah unfortunately you are only TL1 so you can’t post in RWA.

More than I can count

This year I have taken these routes:
Dublin -> Tenerife South | RYR B738

Flight was okay, I wasn’t happy about flying the 737-800 instead of the 737 MAX 8 for 4 hours and 30 minutes. The cabin was the newer one so that was a plus and we did the rare approach for runway 25 which doesn’t happen often. I had a nice view of Mount Teide.

Tenerife South -> Dublin | RYR B738

Again, It was the -800 and it was a delayed flight. I almost suffocated inside the terminal while waiting to board.
There was no AC to my surprise considering the airport is located near the Sahara. This wasnt the first time that this had happened to me on a Ryanair flight, I guess i call this a classic ryanair move.

Dublin -> Barcelona | RYR B738

I flew the -800 AGAIN but with split scimitars for the first time which was interesting. Flight was 2 hours long, I had great views of the Pyrenees while descending into BCN.

Barcelona -> Dublin | RYR B738

We were delayed on this flight because we had no air conditioning inside the plane. We felt like we were trapped in a burning hot stove with no air. After a 1 30 hour delay, We got into the air and the flight was like any other Ryanair flight with a smoooooth landing into Dublin.

Dublin -> Amsterdam | EI A320

This flight was the best one this year, We departed in a storm that day and it was before my birthday. I expected a delay since there is a storm but we had an on time departure and the journey went smooth with a beautiful sunrise upon arrival in Schiphol.

Amsterdam -> Dublin

Same as the flight from Dublin, No delay, Smooth departure and a nice landing into Dublin. Nothing much to say here for this flight.

Those were my flights this year. It was a nice year and next year will be a good year since I will be flying the a330 (Hopefully) and the 777. It will be my first time on both of the aircraft and my first time on a widebody.
6 flights this year for me
