How Land?

How do I know which side of the runway to land on?

Centre line and or what side of the runway traffic is using, or what ATIS tells you, and if no traffic is on the ground or landing, itโ€™s up to you

The prefered side is usually the one closer with the number closer to the wind direction/10. This is highlighted with a green number if winds are strong enough.
There are other considerations, such as runway length and terrain (KASE).
If ATC is active on ES follow ATIS or approach.

Thanks bro

Use the green or orange runways.

If you are flying on the expert server, ATIS will provide possible landing runways. If you are a beginner on IF you can choose an aircraft with APPR to land on preferred ILS. Fly it safely!

No no and no.

I will say it 100 times if I must. Runway colors are just a guide, and are not the all-telling prophet of aviation.

If runway 10 is red and 28 is green at TNCM, will you land on 28? No!

Look at the METAR, look at the winds, and analyze the airport. If ATC isnโ€™t active, make an informed decision about your chosen runway. If there are other aircraft at your airport, ask for traffic advisories over Unicom, that way you arenโ€™t landing against traffic.

green is based on metar though (although I agree figuring it out based on metar is a good skill for when everything is green, but then I would check flightaware for active runway)

Not always. There are certain factors that constitute to runway colors, which can cause the colors to be messed up (in some aspects). Like Will said, your best bet will be to use the METAR itself.

I was just saying that as a general term. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Make sure to listen to @snoman. Make sure right after that hill to nose dive at -10,000 fpm and at 500 knots.

Exactly, those are real world procedures!
