Hi! Relatively new flyer here, how far out do I enable the ILS on my NAV? Do I enable it when I get inside the red cone or a little bit far out? Sorry if it’s in the wrong category, idk where to put it. Will appreciate any assistance, thanks!
Around 27 nautical miles out! The little red cone is also a good idea, only if you have fixes plotted on the alignment of the runway, or if your far out enough to intercept it.
Does the distance from the airport differ from each airport? I mean, do i trigger the ILS always 27 NM no matter the airport or does it differ?
