How does it affect the plane because sometimes if it is on high the plane lands at the end of the runway
Air is less dense when it’s hot, so there will be less air passing over the wing at a given ground speed when temperatures are high, therefore generating less lift requiring the use of more runway to takeoff. On short final, the total kinetic energy in terms of airspeed would be lower so you would land shorter without adding thrust.

Hotter environment=lower air density=less lift for speeding aircraft=more speed needed to take off/higher flap setting for additional lift.
