I was thinking about how great the IFC was, which got me thinking about how the community impacts the experience of playing Infinite Flight.
For me, I probably wouldn’t play the simulator if it wasn’t for the community. The community is a great way to make friends, learn new things, discuss your favorite topic (planes 😜), attempt to adopt a bison (summon @United403), and join organizations such as a VA or IFATC.
How has the IFC changed your Infinite Flight experience?
I’m still kinda new here so I haven’t met everyone yet but it’s been a good place to geek out about planes and meeting people who think alike. Meeting some nice and friendly people and developers (well I haven’t met them or talked to them on the IFC but you know what I mean). I joined when the reworked A380 was nearing its release and i had a bunch of wing view photos on my photo gallery to dump on the IFC.
Hasn’t changed my IF experience much to be honest, I keep IFC and IF mostly separate. I have met many great people through this forum though, and had a lot of laughs. Wouldn’t trade it.
Honestly I’ve always loved IF, and ifc has added a whole new level to multiplayer, adding less loneliness to the sim, as well as a way to connect to other people who are into aviation, as it wasn’t until fairly recently I’ve found someone in the real world who loves aviation as much as I do… IFC gives me a factor or familiarity as everyone, EVERYONE here fits in, and loves aviation. Also, scrolling ifc is something to do that gives off less brain rot then scrolling TikTok lol
#1 Airport editing 🙌🙌🙌
I’ve been on the editing team nearly a year and a half, and it’s become one of my biggest passions in the game! I love over detailing my airports, and have come to love building dirt strips 😅😅
#2 The friendships!!! IYKYK! It doesn’t need a big, long, and fancy explanation
It’s the people. I joined the IFC 9 years ago, back in 2015. Over the years, I chatted with so many interesting people - even met some of them in real life, even became good friends with some of them. During COVID, it was a window to the world - being able to talk to people, share experiences, support each other, … It’s quite amazing and I think very unique as well.
