How does everyone check the chart?

I’m trying my best to find various sites, but I made this topic to see if there was an easier way! Please tell me how to check it!

Hello!

There is a topic from August 2023 where some users suggested some good websites/apps where you can look at the charts. Personally, I use Airmate most of the time, while some other times, I just google something like “LIRF Charts” and I may be able to find some images. However, obviously, the already mentioned app, plus some others such as Navigraph (which is payware, you have to subscribe to it and pay monthly or yearly, if I remember correctly), are way better than some images found on Google.

Have a good one!

Flightaware has, for free, the basic charts for every US airport out there. For other airports, looking up the ICAO code plus “charts” next to it will show you the charts (mind their age though, some date back to the 2010s).

Personally I stopped bothering with the charts and just look up the flight level of my flight on Flightaware. I then use Simbrief to create the route, and input it on IF’s flight planner to get the desired data.

Is that Airmate is for iOS devices only?

Nope. I have an Android and have it installed!

is it free to use or subscription required.

I’ve noticed there are some payware charts for some airports (such as military charts), but most of them are free!
