How do you make a prefect holding pattern?

Hey, every time I do a holding pattern, it is always never perfect. For example, when I was experiencing bad weather in Delhi, I decided to do a holding pattern to wait and see if the weather would clear up. I decided to do 4 patterns but none of them were close to each other or on the same line (like in real life) and were usually not a perfect pattern I was hoping for. Any tips or tricks to do a prefect holding pattern?

Hi,
pilots in real life use their on-board computers to do holding points, so they don’t do them themselves, but if you want to do holding points, they’re usually done (depending on the airport) with a 180 turn at a speed of 230kts with 1min or 30sec between each turn.

What he said, I believe they’re usually 1 minute between turns. The key to a perfect holding pattern is to maintain the same speed, as your turn radius increases with higher speeds, and decreases at lower speeds.

Thank you so much, I think I was too fast doing them which is why my holding patterns weren’t perfect.

You can look up the charts and see if they have the holding pattern instuructions for that airport
