How Do You Guys Stay Motivated to Fly?

How do you guys manage to keep up motivation to fly? I just can’t seem to have any more steam and tbh I’m devastated about it. What do I do? How do you guys do it? It’s so bad to where I probably haven’t flown in like 7-9 months. :')

Put the plane in the air, come back 12 hours later, land it, rinse and repeat!

In all seriousness though I go back and forth between flying, IFATC, IFAET, and messing around.

I do but I’m so tired and burnt out yet I want to keep flying but it seems out of my reach.

I see. Makes sense I suppose.

Go back to the basics of flying a small airplane. Like XCub, C172, etc. Go flying in the southern part of Utah and explore the natural beauty of red rocks and canyons in a small plane. Would have to be my favorite escape from the big airports.

friends, fly with friends. Go on casual server and go wild. See how far you can push your flying limits to.

Or do group flights with friends or random people.

I used to feel that way, I’d go days without flying cause I couldn’t do it or just lost the joy of it But I found friends to fly with and got my spirits back up and now I want to fly wherever I can.

I think it’s because there are many like-minded partners challenging difficult airports together, joining virtual airlines, and so on. I find this a really relaxing process!

If you’re not motivated then just don’t fly and let the motivation replenish with time. It’s not guilty at all.
I rarely do a complete flight now, spending most of the time on scenery editing. Probably when the new renderer is finalized I will resume flying.

Yep! Don’t make gaming a hassle – just fly whenever you need to and enjoy it!

that happens to me somtimes

i get bored of flying and despeatly wait for next update

I’d suggest joining a VA. As part of GAF, I have a mission to deliver cargo around the world, and that is kept track of through spreadsheets. For me, that’s what keeps me in the air a lot.

Every aircraft has different flight characteristics and learning how to handle perfectly other planes is fun.

Sometimes I fly from Kathamdu to Lukla and try to land there. Quite difficult challenge. Or flying through the Himalaya and enjoying the view.

Something I take small GA aircrafts and visit places where I have been or I visit places which I’d love to see or which are interesting. Quito was one of those which I discovered by accident, with this huge volcano next to the city and many other volcanoes around.

Trying nearly impossible challenges, or difficult emergency situations. Right now I train to save the A350, when one engine is inoperative just after V1 just like regular emergencies can happen.

Don’t put yourself under pressure. Do something else for a while and come back for new challenges, when you feel like it.

I set personal goals, like I’m currently flying to every possible country with an airport, currently sitting at having visited 119 total. After that It’ll probably be visiting as many different airports as I can.

I would recommend watching flight reviews, it might motivate you to fly or give inspiration for which flight you can recreate.

I have a spreadsheet and am working really hard to complete it. Its the routes for every American + Emirates 77W routes: 777 Routes - Google Sheets
