How do I get sponsors In a event

It seems like some events are sponsored by VA’s. Do I have to be in that VA or do I just ask a VA member to sponsor me. What do I do

Look at the VA database and find the CEOs of the VAs you want to have sponsor it and message them.

I had northwest va sponsor mine once, I think they just ask you if the can be the sponsor.
