Have you tried clicking on the actual app itself on the AppStore sometimes it appears that way?

Probably check the update section in the App Store and refresh that section. Did work for me yesterday at least.

Try doing what @easyWig said above. Usually it won’t say UPDATE when you search for the app, but once you click on it you should see it.
