How Did You Became Aviator?

Here’s some general questions I wanna ask:

  1. For Pilots: What inspired you to become an aviator, and what challenges did you face during your training?

  2. For the Aviator Game: How did the concept of the Aviator game come to be, and what makes it unique compared to other flight-based games?

I developed an interest in aviation after my first flight, which prompted me to conduct further research on the subject. This exploration ultimately led me to where I am today.

I think back then people decided that flying was cool and turning it into a game online would also be cool, and so, they made flight simulators!

My passion begun for aviation when I was around 8 years old and went on my first flight nothing too crazy like international. It was a small turbo prop plane, but ever since then my love for aviation has grown.

For me my passion first grew was sometime in 2012, and according to some video footage, I flew a Southwest 737-300 from MDW-SAN and flew that route 5 more times. Now I’m getting my PPL and want to work for American!

I fly a lot to Asunción because of my family, since I born, actually, in 2008. Probably my passion came from there, from flying every year with a good frequency

I became an aviator in 2021 in august when I went to Hawaii, yes in covid, and when i came home I have been on a 21 hours in total and after that I just got into planes out of nowhere and now I still study them

a youtube short that i can’t remember

I’m not a pilot or anything but I became an a geek because I was 5 once and I was watching some videos of people building planes or smth like that like a 787 and slowly I became an avgeek

I’m not a pilot, but I just simply got addicted to infinite flight after I realized how good it is

Literally ever since I was born I naturally had a big interest in aviation. But my interest sparked to passion when I went on my first flight ever going from Tagbilaran to Manila on an Air Asia A320 when I was like 3 years old (it was a big moment for me so I still remember every single detail).

Entering the plane, I was horrified, because although I watched plane videos on my mom’s phone, I didn’t actually think the day would come that I’d be on an actual plane… I also have phono-phobia (fear of loud noises example fireworks and thunder) which didn’t help that I knew engines were loud. The first 20 mins of the flight my ears were covered and my mol did a great job comforting me because I then courageously take my fingers off my ears and realized it wasn’t so bad after all.

I looked outside, and it was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. Cumulous clouds, to cirrus clouds, you name it. Inside I was so happy that I’ve finally get to see what I’ve been missing out on. We arrived at Manila, got into a few more planes going to America and to all those planes I enjoyed every single one of them.

Due to those experiences, 3 year old me wanted to be a pilot and wanted to play games about it real bad. My first ever flight “game” was called Airline Commander, which is made by the developers of RFS. BUT my first ever flight “SIMULATOR” was RFS… I quit airline commander because it was hard to achieve full flights so I went to RFS.

My little brother also liked aviation and played Infinite Flight instead of RFS, so we’ve been arguing and debating for a long time about which flight sim is superior. I actually eventually convinced my brother to play RFS and he liked it more because it had 3D buildings…

But then one morning in april, we saw a trailer about Infinite Flight… the trailer was 21.1, AKA 3D buildings.

This got me, as I’ve actually been jealous of how IF has high quality plane models but never olayed it because it had no 3D buildings.

I watched the trailer and rest is history.
