How an ILS works

Found this, thought it was kind of interesting. To edit navigational data in Infinite Flight, like the localizer or glide-slope, you need to know the exact coordinates and place those objects at the exact location. Otherwise an ILS approach might be inaccurate!

Basically the LOC and glide-slope each emit two frequencies. I’m not entirely sure on how this works but my understanding is that the plane can detect which frequency is stronger based on location in the air, and moves the needles in the cockpit accordingly

Interesting for me! I’ve just learnt a few things :-)
