I was granted very exclusive access alongside some fellow spotters by the Honolulu Airport to spot right alongside the taxiway leading to their world famous Reef Runway, which is built on artificial land jutting out in the Pacific, almost exclusively used for departures.
First up, we have a little Hawaiian 717 heading out to Hilo

In stark size contrast to the last departure, we have the largest aircraft of the day, this beautiful ANA A380 making its way to Tokyo-Narita. Tokyo is the most served international destination from Honolulu, with over 1.5 million passengers heading to the city’s two airports annually
