Hong Kong Airlines: the latest A350 operator.

Yesterday the 1st of September, Hong Kong airlines took delivery of their first A350-900 making them the 15th operator of the type and the second operator in Hong Kong after CX. They have ordered 21 A350s with 15 being purchased directly from Airbus and the other 6 from lessors. Their new A350 is such a beauty!

That is so strange. Hong Kong Airlines, despite being shadowed by Cathay Pacific, still operates wide bodies in international long haul routes.

I guess VHHH is the first airport in the world which is the hub of two A350 operators 😉
