Holding Patterns Before IOS gets update

So as of right now, those of us that have IOS devices do not have the update. My question is… without the update, would those with IOS devices be able to see the holding pattern after a command is given by an ATC controller with an android device?

Followup Question: Ghosting grace period for not following instructions?

I bet not. I was wondering the same thing too.

No, they would not. The IFATC team has been instructed to avoid using holding patterns until the update fully releases across all platforms. Nothing to worry about. ;)

No, they won’t. By the way IFATC will not use this new functionality until the update for iOS is released.

In a few days, you will. Patience is key. ;)

Thank you for the speedy reply all, my concern was definitely being on advanced and getting that command but not being able to, then getting ghosted. I mean its bad enough that I see so many planes listed as unknown.

Us controllers have been instructed both not to use holding patterns and to be cautious about ghosting users with potentially different scenery packs until Apple approves the update.
