Hello everyone, I am flying from HNL to LAX, and fueled up with 5hrs and 15 min of fuel, but now the fuel remaining is showing me to only have 4:30hrs of fuel left after a 15 min climb to cruise. Long story short, I may not have enough fuel to get to LAX.
Should I turn back, or continue?
What altitude and speed are you at? ( Also I would recommend you always bring 2hours of extra fuel)
First things first, always give yourself extra fuel, I do about 1-2 hours extra.
Secondly, flying west to east, there is almost always a tailwind.
And finally, as you fly, your weight will decrease making you lighter which will make you more efficient.

Last option: just divert to another nearby aiport not that far away from your original destination. Never give up :). Good luck.
