Hello! Back with another request. This time, Himalaya’s A319 will be the spotlight! Let’s get into some brief details about this bird.
What is Himalaya Airlines?
Himalaya Airlines is an airline formed in 2014 through the joint ventures of Tibet Airlines and Yeti World Investment Group, as a second attempt to launch a Nepalese international airline. They launched operations in 2016, using a singular A320 and basing in Kathmandu and Pokhara. They focused on obscure routes to Myanmar and Sri Lanka which quickly ceased. Following this, they began flights to the Middle East, as well as opening a connection to Daxing, making the airline to operate between the capitals of Nepal and China.
Himalaya first acquired 9N-AJK, their sole A319 for now in 2020, and currently has been utilizing this bird on flights to Tibet, mainly only to Lhasa. Before this, they used this to fly to a whole host of other destinations, such as Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Dammam and Kunming.
Why do we need this?
As always, we need more airlines in the game, especially going for Nepal as they lack in liveries the game. (Correct me if I’m wrong) This bird will open a host of international routes to fly around Asia, especially to China since there is amazing scenery of the Himalayas. We also need more A319 liveries, and the livery on this bird is very unique and stunning. I’d appreciate if you’d leave a vote for this beauty!
