Depart HAAB for FMCH
Ready to trade the rolling hills of the Great Rift Valley for the steep volcanic peaks of the Comoros? That’s exactly what the Highlands to Islands event seeks to do! Departing Ethiopia and getting comfortable for the four hour flight to the Comoros, flying on Ethiopia’s flag carrier-on the 737 MAX, you can follow us all the way into Moroni, and take in the view of the beautiful approach into Grande Comore. Because of back taxiing at the destination airport, pushbacks should be staggered by roughly 5 minutes.
Recommend gates at HAAB are Gates 6-11, Gates 1-5 ( if flying code E aircraft ) or Remote 19 - Remote 29.
At HAAB, RWY07L-25R is closed. Due to this, RWY25L-07R will be used for departures. RWY07L-25R may be used as a taxiway.
After departing, due to the high elevation at HAAB, all aircraft must maintain 250kts until above FL180, 295kts until FL280, and M 0.79 to cruise.
During cruise, all aircraft must maintain the same cruise altitude, which will be decided on the day.
At the TOD, aircraft must maintain M 0.79 to FL280, 280kts until FL160 or below, and 250kts or below while under FL100.
At FMCH, all aircraft must ensure to allow additional spacing, as all arrivals likely will occupy the runway for 5 minutes or more. Use LOW auto braking and idle reverse for the landing.
At FMCH, there is limited parking. Two stands are capable of accommodating aircraft up to the B77W/A35K and all five are capable or accommodating aircraft up to the A321/B739. Any Code C aircraft or below shouldn’t use Code E stands if they have a choice. Since this flight is also flown by the 787, A350-900, and 737-800, you can of course choose any of these aircraft to use for the route.
If more than 5 users are joining us, make sure to disconnect, so everybody gets a turn to park.
