Higher resolution terrain for the Azores Islands

I recently took a look at Lajes field on Terceira Island, Azores, Portugal in Global. This is a major stop over point for US military aircraft and a strategic location in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

The resolution is extremely low: Lajes looks like an an airport sitting on a green blob.

It would be greatly appreciated if the Azores islands could get high resolution imagery as they are part of Portugal and beautiful islands to fly around (I’ve been to Terceira and Sao Miguel island and have also flown around them). Thanks.

The developers have already said that they plan on expanding the imagery over time.

Global update progress

South Africa won’t be available at launch unfortunately. You will still be able to fly to/from there but the imagery will be in poor quality (topography will still be accurate). Most of the missing areas should be filled by the end of 2018 (if everything goes according to plan).

The whole globe will eventually be high resolution.

Devs have confirmed there will be better resolution for everywhere soon. This should not have been a feature request
