That “rule” has been dead for all but the fighter jets since violations began for exceeding the aircraft redline.

I don’t think you’re going to be trying to do any pattern work at those altitudes. 😄 AP will compensate in the case of crosswind on your route.

You’ll feel the time go by faster as your west to east flight is shorter! 🙂
It is typically ideal to either fly into it head on or following it. This is why you see sometimes followed route is different from flightplan.
