Help with Zulu time

I live in San Diego and now I’m just getting used to Zulu time. If it’s 2900 Zulu what time would it be in San Diego?

2900z doesn’t exist. There are only 24 hours in a day.

2900z would convert to 0500z, which would be 9:00pm your time

Another good resource for time conversion is Google! Just type something along the lines of… “___ Zulu to ____ HST”. That’s always helpful!

Right now, since you’re on the West Coast, you would need to add 8 hours to your current time. That’ll give you the current time in Zulu! To find your current time from Zulu, you’d need to subtract 8 hours from the current Zulu time. Hope this helps :)

Here’s a great resource. Simply type in your city or the nearest big city to you. Add in UTC for the second item. Add a date, time you wish to convert and bam! You’ve got a conversion. There’s also a handy dandy little slider bar there where you can scroll through times for an even quicker conversion.

Enjoy!
