You can use the tower feature to spot planes
Or you can also see from the free cam
Just double tap the plane and the free cam will track it.

I’m really sorry I don’t know about real life as I’ve never visited London.
I’ve used this platform many times to find spotting places, I hope it can be useful to you!
For 9L here is a patch of grass I spotted out of there(shaded red) and there was multiple people spotting there. Super code to the runway. Or there is a bench on the sidewalk across Wallis road too. There is a hotel that’s gives a descent view but I wouldn’t recommend it as trees and poles block the road. If you dm I can send some pics spotting from this locations
