Today just a bit ago a helicopter unfortunately crashed in New York with one fatality at 787 7th Avenue. Not much is known, but let’s hope there weren’t other fatalities or passengers onboard. This sure is unfortunate, and this year hasn’t been great for aviation, so let’s hope it doesn’t get worse. Here’s a CNBC link:
Yeah, I saw it on the news… So sad to hear it, and hope everyone’s ok.
That could cause significant structure damage to the building, which could out a heck of a lot of people in danger. Ill be watching the live feed that I recieved.
Yep, just got a notification for this from the Weather Channel.
Just heard about it on the radio
My company has offices in the building. I just received word that all employees have safely evacuated from our office space.
I’m sure a lot of people are having flashbacks to 9/11. Prayers for everyone affected 🙏🏻❤️
Well there had been many worse years than this.
I also hope that there is no more fatalities.
Good good good. Seems like they handled this relatively quick and effectively.
Been following this, sad to hear this happening
FDNY reported 1 killed.
I read somewhere that it was only the pilot? If I’m wrong please correct me
1 last year and one this year in Ny terribly unfortunate R.I.P 😔
Honesty shocked someone beat you to the helicopter news…
Lol that’s alright I was asleep
They had 1 helo crash in the Hudson 3 weeks ago as well
The pilot’s name has been released.
Aviation trends over the years:

2018, full 12 months: 206 accidents
2019, little less than half the year: 63 accidents
Pro-rating that, with this being the 161st day of the year: would come to 143 accidents in 2019. You might note that 143 is a smaller number than 206. In fact, only 70 percent of last year’s total.
Statistics are much more meaningful than recency bias.
I saw it in my notifications bar when I woke up, very shocking :c
That’s really sad news. All the people inside Has to be evacuated
