Hello, IFC!
Today I had nothing to do, and I unexpectedly ended up with @Anshul at Eindhoven airport (EHEH).
Here are some pictures from that little excursion.
First up is this beautiful 737 MAX-8 200 engine
Second is this very intense conversation full of hand gestures between the captain and a ground agent
This is a 737-800
A Wizz Air A320 off to Katowice, Poland
A Wizz Air A321NEO pulling into the stand
A balloon taking off on a flight to the nearest tree
A Transavia 737-800 with the colorful Peter Pan livery
9H-VUO rotating pretty much as late as possible. The wheels left the ground on the threshold markings.
Ryanair performing an unrestricted climb, and a Transavia crew wondering what they just saw
Last but not least, we have “Tow Mater”, “Trekkie Chan”, “Lightning McQueen” and “2 Slow 2 Furious”, 4 of the baggage tugs at EHEH, all of which have funny nicknames.
Thanks for having a look at these pics!
Bye

Surprised?
I see these late rotations everytime in Dublin.
Classic Ryanair intersection departure is what I call it.
Jokes apart, I wonder how far the V1 was to VR speed.

I’m curious about this balloon.

I use a Canon EOS 80D and these were shot either with a 75-300mm lens, or a 24-105mm lens depending on the picture

Surprised?
A bit, yeah! I don’t understand why they would take the risk of doing this. It seems like a bad idea in case of engine issues, aborted takeoff, or calculation errors

Eindhoven mentioned rahhh
The Ryanair’s like doing this on shorter flights so it does make for some great shots when 03 is in use

Saves a minute or two of taxi time and I’m sure v1 is greatly reduced in the calculations
And the photos look great when they rotate late
