Hi so I was playing when I noticed Heathrow terminal 2 still has the construction is any editor able to fix that because I finde it quit anying that there are so many missing gates and it is so much harder to taxi so maybe we can get it in 25.2
Hey there! So as @Yukiros_31 said in a reply to one of your posts asking about Switzerland 3D airports, the airport editors do their thing for fun. It’s completely volunteer work and on their own time, which means that we don’t allow requests for airports or updates. Since LHR is one of if not the most popular airport in the sim, I very much expect it to be updated soon, along with LAX and other major airports which have changed IRL. But, that’s no guarantee, so don’t expect it, and when it comes it will be a pleasant surprise!
Someday soon, the IFAET applications will open back up, and then, if you wish, you can apply to be an editor and therefore add the airports you want (according to IFAET rules, of course)! But for now, patience is the name of the game.

So if I was an editor, I can go edit and/or add any airport I want? (Of course I’ll stick to only missing real life airports)

Sad but okay. So only editing airports for now?
There are so many airports I want to correct as I’ve noticed that they are outdated to their current version.
If a member of IFAET you can only edit airports where no other active editor is assigned to.
Most often it is not the missing will of a editor to edit a new build terminal into IF, it is the lack of recent satellite imagery available. To add to that: we can’t use Google earth or apple satellite imagery.

Then what do you guys use??
If not google that’s updated monthly or yearly……
what do you mean by this? As in you can’t go look at apple maps or google maps and then build or fix the airport? Or is there a process of using the data that has some legal restrictions?

When editing an airport you overlay satellite imagery on the airport to ensure accuracy while creating it. Google maps and Bing maps are the easiest to export, so Apple Maps and Google Earth are not used as much.
