This week, I originally planned to go to SFO just on Sunday, because I had not gone with my friend in a little while. After that session finished up, I got home and got a JetTip notification that Cathay Pacific was bringing a new aircraft to SFO for the first time ever. I decided to look ahead this week to see if it would come again, and saw that yesterday (5/30) they were going to bring it again. I set my eyes on that. Tuesday rolls around, and I find out that another rare plane is coming to SFO so I rush there again. All the while, I had missed the Argentinian Government’s 757 carrying their president, that had just come in to SJC on Monday, and was leaving today, Friday 5/31. I go on Thursday with the plan to see the Argentina 757 today, and just today I found out it left 4 hours early, and I am mad about that.
In all, a pretty hectic week, I hope you guys understood that.
Sunday, May 26th - Day 1
My first time seeing Eva Air’s Hello Kitty livery on the 777. A really busy, but cool livery.
I thought this pan turned out really clean. This United 777-300ER off to Taipei.
A fairly bright beacon light for the daytime on this MAX 9 pulling into the gate.
Tuesday, May 28th - Day 2
The first time I have seen the Lufthansa A350-900 in the old livery. I believe the new one suits it better, but this is still really beautiful.
Not the best quality, but I had to catch this UPS 747-400F off to Honolulu above.
And here it is, one of my favorite 787 liveries. Qantas 100. I really love how they put Qantas’s logo evolution on the plane, really nice touch.
This one is actually a fairly rare sight here at SFO. Air India usually brings their 777-200LR’s with the weird hybrid livery (most are ex-Delta, I believe) without the orange around the windows and white engine cowlings. (example) This time, they brought the full livery!
Thursday, May 30th - Day 3
This is the second time (that I know of) that Cathay Pacific has brought their A350-1000 to SFO. I much prefer the -1000 variant of the A350, so I am happy that they have brought it finally.
United’s Star Alliance 777!
I managed to get this photo of this United 787 accepted to Jetphotos because the last photo of it was in the old United livery, but what is interesting is that this plane already has a mismatched engine cowling!
Which photo did you like best?
