Have you ever turned off name tags on the expert server and accidentally taxied through a plane and got ghosted? Or did it only happen to me?

Well, I happened to encounter @LaroseRoyce one time when he was flying a ghost plane and I unknowingly ran into him on my way to the gate. I’ve been there, buuut I didn’t get ghosted.

However, I think the one thing you could have done here was turn up the aircraft count if you’re able to and of course, leave the tags on. Mistakes always yield improvement. Don’t let this funny little incident get you the slightest bit down

I had aircraft count on Very High but they just wouldn’t load, My guess was it was the phone, however it was on expert server at a super busy airport I think it was when Cancun was featured. Before the change to Global Staffing of course.

it almost happened to me because of connection and it was in fnf and i was almost ghosted till the plane loaded

Nope

But I did end up belly flopping my F-22 into the ground right by some IF staff once

I didn’t crash - or get ghosted! I’ll see if i can find the screenshot if anyone would like

You know…you could always look at the map to see where aircraft are……

^ Cannot emphasize this enough. A lot of the violations we see on a daily basis could be avoided just by utilizing the mini map for situational awareness, regardless of aircraft count or rendering issues.

I see loads of topics made about “I got reported for going through someone but I couldn’t see them”

And i just sit there like “bruh - if you used the map you would know there was an aircraft in front of you”

I have all tags off, and my map is on my UI when around busy or complex airports.

Little while back at Cape Town I had arrived and was just pulling into what I thought was an available space at the well over-packed airport. Went to an outside view so I could just perfect my turn and managed to taxi into an aircraft that had just spawned into the gate, but unfortunately hadn’t appeared since the max limit of rendered aircraft was already reached.

Got reported a few moments into my apron, luckily got it appealed right after the controller’s session as it was all a bit of confusion in the crazy traffic.

You can always look at the map to see where the perspective planes at an airport are. And if you don’t want check the big map every 5 seconds you can use the smaller built in map UI, or just turn on airplane boxes. Personally I leave tags off for realism purposes and I use the smaller map UI to see where the planes are at.

I’ve yet to ever taxi through someone with the mini map on. Relying on the aircraft rendering in time isn’t enough.
