Has to be the most challenging Approach I've flown

I came across a YouTube video of an Airbus A320 making an approach to land at Paro International airport (VQPR), Butan. Runway 15, I have to say it is the most challenging aprroch I’ve seen, the kind of pilotage required to execute a smooth landing is intence. I dare you guys to attempt this approach and share the screenshots what out for violations, let’s have fun with this . For a more realistic approach I recommend you read VQPR approach charts to get familiar or watch this guys video in this link Paro Airport (VQPR) - Briefing and Approach - YouTube

I find the approach easy

I have done it in the past, the approach takes you right above the airport (if you come from Paro VOR northbound), and you have to do a tight turn just north of the airport, but it is really fun to do after you know all the procedures.

I’m trying to perfect this I love such technical approaches, like Kia Tak VHXX.

A beautiful and challenging approach is also LOWI, not the most difficult, but it’s great to follow realistic charts, both sides of the approach are equally interesting with a tight base and mountains on either side

I’ve done this approach in Infinite Flight. Very challenging navigating through the terrain. Definitely in my opinion a pretty hard approach.

For me the most difficult approach is lax on casual server… congrats to whoever lands there without another plane being on the runway

Wait, you can land at lax without someone being on the runway?

Jokes aside. Not that i frequency casual LAX, id assume 24R wouldn’t have much to worry about.

KSFO RWY 1L and 1R. There’s literally a big hill in front of the threshold.

I could never do that.

I did that approach a few hours ago. It was not as hard, but I thought I was gonna crash into the mountain. I also had a hard landing because it was a 737, Im not good at landing that plane and I stuck with the mountain, meaning I had to use rudder to get onto the runway, but I slid the wrong button, because it was my brakes.

Oh yes I have been planning on making an approach at PARO. But since the new scenery for SA is coming out, may I suggest landing at MHTG. The approach I found is challenging and fun! Takes you through a valley and a nice tight turn for an immediate short final. Also if you really want a tougher approach, try landing at VILH its nestled between mountains. No established approach charts for the public since it functions primarily as a military airport but takes a small amount of commercial traffic. Cheers!

Thanks this was a really helpful comment. I’m definitely heading to try both today. Such challenges make IF worth every cent.

Ive done the approach there. It aint easy. But once you do it a few times it gets a lot easier. But i wish we had Bhutan Airlines a319!

Such an amazing scenery on approach though 😍

Laguardia’s Whitestone VOR Runway 31, with all of the turning to avoid traffic, and the final turn over Flushing Bay, its not easy for the A320 and A321, and your 7,003ftx100ft runway also helps.

Oh its hella easy after some practice

Juneau INTL is also a difficult approach, pilots have to have a special license to land there.
